We found the double room with a sea view very clean and perfectly comfortable for one night. It was freshly decorated, had quality bed linen, and offered good tea and coffee making facilities.
The bathroom was very petite, and the shower cubicle and tiling could probably be upgraded as looked worn out. It’s an old building so hot water took a very long time to work its way to our sink. Though there was a little sign that stated this on the sink!
It was very windy when we visited and there was a constant whistling noise through the windows so you should bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The views were straight out to sea.
Breakfast was tasty, we enjoyed the vegetarian option.
We also ate dinner the night we arrived - good pub grub, several veggie options and very good service. Although, I was surprised they had the heating on in late May, it was boiling hot in the pub and we were sat next to a radiator. Thankfully our bedroom was nice and cool.
Overall the room rate seemed very high for a very average pub/non boutique B&B, especially compared to other places we’ve stayed. But perhaps this is normal for Norfolk!
