Way overpriced for the condition
I booked this room for a quick overnight stay for my son’s baseball tournament. We arrived after 8pm to check in, the lady up front was nice enough but you could tell this hotel was old and semi kept up. Once we got our keys we went to our room only to find that it was a room that had not been cleaned (bed had been slept in and dirty wet towels on the floor of the bathroom)! This was completely unacceptable!! I went straight back down to let the lady know and she promptly found me another room, she said sorry but didn’t seem to act surprised. The 2nd room was at least clean but the paint on the walls of the bathroom was chipping off and the toilet would not flush completely. Water pressure in shower was weak. The elevator was old and looked sketchy so I used the stairs. Some areas looked as though they were trying but other areas were just very old and worn looking. Breakfast was edible, the OJ wasn’t working but the coffee was actually good. Overall not a great experience and honestly if a hotel gives you a dirty room then your stay should be comped immediately, no questions asked. I won’t ever stay here again.

Real review - you'll want to read this one
We read multiple reviews about this hotel before deciding to book it, and I really have to wonder if the good reviews we saw were fake. The hotel was in really rough shape. Our room was very dirty - there was a huge wad of hair on the floor by the bed, the bathroom counter was not clean, the shower floor was very stained, and just general filth that should be cleaned (door knobs, remote control, switch covers, etc.) The toilet was about 1/2" off the tile floor with a wood shim on one side; needless to say, it wasn't stable at all. The shower didn't drain well so by the time you were done with the shower, you were standing in about 2" of water. We had a stink bug hanging out on the ceiling upon our arrival, and we let him live because there are far worse bugs in hotels. Thankfully, we didn't see any of those. Breakfast was mediocre.

Comfortable and clean older hotel
An older hotel that appears to be going through some updates. I came from Asheville during the hurricane looking for a warm shower, comfy bed, and electricity. It had all that. Water pressure left a lot to be desired. Didn't sleep much from the construction crews going to Asheville coming and going all night and hearing a door slam but can't really blame the hotel for that.

Due to the circumstances of not having power at home, I chose to get a room. Overall moldy smell in the hallway and room, dirty toilet and shower(cleaned it myself before using)white paint on the wall and sitting furniture, stain on the bedding and woke up to a large roach in the floor.

It’s a decent place
It was pleasant. Just a stopover. The only thing that was a downer was the noise from the ice maker and people coming in and out of the side door. Breakfast was ok. Otherwise it was suitable for an overnight. If you need a quiet room ask for a room away from the exit doors.

I will look for another hotel next time...
We were there for business. Could not stay connected to internet for more than 3 minutes at a time so that was inconvenience for us. Room was large and adequate. Pillows were way too soft and were uncomfortable. Breakfast was good. Attendant spent her time sitting at a table on her cell phone while both trash cans were overflowing and tables were dirty and not wiped off. We just needed a place to sleep and that's what we got. Not a lot of other hotels in the area, but will look for something else next time.

The elevators and hallway was dirty, trash around. People were noisy in the hallway at 5:30 am. The staff we met were great, and the continental breakfast was very good, extensive, clean, well-stocked, and lightly attended when we went at 7:45. The room was nice, appeared to be recently renovated.

The exterior door is so loud when someone enters, it slams and shakes the walls. This was the only way in. People entered at all hours, so the door was continuously slamming, every 10-15 minutes or more frequently. This loud banging happened until 2AM one night, 3 and 4AM other nights. I've stayed at places where the guests were loud but this is the hotel's fault as the door needs a quieter closure mechanism. The beds were comfortable but the moisture wasn't removed from the room and the beds were always moist. The room had a smoke smell even though it was a non smoking room.
