Hands down, the worst accommodation experience of my life. ONLY BOOK HERE IF YOU ARE DESPERATE AND HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.
This was a last-minute booking. Within five days, the host sent me 18 emails with contradicting check-in times. This excessive communication felt like harassment.
The host required me to download an app for online check-in, which I did at the airport before my flight. Despite informing the host of a three-hour delay, I didn’t receive the access codes. Forced to pay for emergency accommodation, I received the codes at 8 am the next day. Expedia contacted the host for a refund of the first night's stay, which was refused despite their failure to provide the codes on time.
The Expedia listing omits additional fees: 10 EUR for late check-in, 25 EUR cleaning fee, and 50 EUR late check-out fee. I refused to pay these undisclosed charges.
The apartment seemed clean at first, but the shower was grimy, and I found a cockroach on my first night. On the second night, a leak from the bathroom ceiling occurred. I informed the host via WhatsApp. She knocked on my door the next day, and despite asking her to wait five minutes, she persisted and angrily forced her way in.
The following day, the cleaning lady entered my room without permission to take a pillow while I was undressed. This was the second disturbance by staff. I would not book this apartment again due to:
- Unfriendly, unprofessional host (Esme)
- Poor communication
- Dirty facilities
- Cockroach infestation
