I was extremely disappointed with my stay, especially considering I paid approximately $450 for one night. The room was clean, which I appreciated, but unfortunately that was about the only positive aspect of the accommodations.
The room was incredibly bare-bones. There was no table or desk to put our belongings on, no chair to sit in, and only a full-size bed. The towel rack was awkwardly positioned over the toilet and difficult to reach from the shower. There was peeling paint, an open closet area with no door, and an older wall-mounted air conditioner positioned directly above the bed. Parts of the building also felt noticeably uneven and slanted.
The Wi-Fi did not work properly during our stay, and the very small television had no usable cable or internet service when we attempted to use it.
I understand that Ocean City is expensive during peak summer weekends and that I booked a Standard Room. However, paying approximately $450 for accommodations this basic and in this condition was extremely disappointing. The overall quality and experience simply did not come close to what I expected for the price.
I raised my concerns through the booking platform and requested a partial refund. I was ultimately informed that the hotel would not authorize one, although the booking platform provided me with a $50 goodwill credit from their own company.
Based on my experience and the value received for the price paid, I would not stay here again.
