The guy at the front desk was kind, and that is where the good part of the experience ended. The magnetic room key got randomly demagnetized several times throughout my stay, which cause me to have to go get a new one every time.
Hole in the shower wall, all plumbing fixtures in the room need maintenance/replacement, no smoke detector in room (there is a spot for it but it was not there), ac worked very poorly (it likely hasn’t been service since smoking was allowed at McDonald’s), stains on sheets, no comforter on bed, several strange TV channels that say “camera insertion 1” or “camera insertion 2”… pool is not functional, ice machines were not functional, thrash left out all night in the hallway, not in a can or anything, just bagged trash and pizza boxes, missing buttons on the AC unit. Hard to change temp in shower, thin walls ( you can hear the other occupants way too much), swimming pool clearly has not been accessible in months… but the place is the cheapest in town, and I’m on a very limited budget.
The place needs needs serious updates, but because of the lack of smoke detectors in each room, it is clearly not even up to code right now.
