Everything was just okay. Everything was close by. Public transportation, attractions were easy to get to. Great customer service. The only thing I would like them to consider is changing the beds! Problems with check-in. We arrived around 7:00 PM, but the reception was closed, and the nearest open reception is 5 km away. After many phone calls, we finally got a check-in link, but it took more than 2 hours before we could enter our room. We were stuck outside trying to check in, pay the deposit, and the tourist tax — very frustrating. you also have to take out the trash when checking out. If you're looking for a cleaning staff position in Barcelona - it seems a perfect place for you!

Overall, the stay was very good. The location is relatively central, making it easy to get to the city center. The fact that towels are changed for a fee personally bothered me. However, you could also wash everything yourself in the available washing machine. The value for the price was really okay and good.

Spacious, clean, in El Poblenou quartier

A convenient location in El Poblenou quartier in Barcelona, relatively close to the not so crowded Bogatell beach. Walking distance to beach, pedestrian area of the quartier and Westfield Glòries Mall. Near by metro (underground) station. Plenty clear communication to the fact is no attendance at the reception in between 18:00 and 22:00 and easy to adjust your plan according to this. Decent amenities and friendly personnel. Access to the roof pool a bonus ( will be great if available for longer hours in the evening) Low cleaning schedule is great for chill holiday time.

I would not call this a hotel. There are no towel changes, nor sheets. 4 people had to share same towels for 1 week. The trash from the room had to be removed and walked across the street after check out, failure to do so, would result in a deposit charge, because apparently cleaning person doesn't take trash out. The hotel is close to the ocean, which is what we were looking for. The pool idea is cool, but tiny.

So many things were bad during the stay, but the most disgusting thing is this. I saw small flies here and there, and wandering where it comes from, and found out that it was from the open ceiling of the open loft. I checked it by standing on the counter top, and found a lot of garbage on the loft ceiling including used paper plate with food stain on. As result, I stayed jail cell with garbage next to my bed. Very disappointed and disgusting. I chose this property because I had very good experience with DerbyHotels Collection, and trusted their management, but this property proved me wrong. It was totally unwanted experience in Derby Hotels.

Gradually declining experience

The living experience here is gradually declining… and staff is rude. That was a good starting at the very beginning, greeted by a very nice lady and explained everything clearly. The room was in good condition and big with all the facilities. However, there are a few things that we felt the apartment needs massive improvements. 1. Supplies of personal hygiene products We in a group of three are staying for 3 nights. 2 bottles of shampoo and shower gel are barely enough for us. We then asked for one extra shower gel, but the receptionist said we usually provide just 2 for each room. If you need extra, you will be charged… To be honest, as a 4-star apartment which the room price is not that cheap shouldn’t propose this restriction to the tenants. This should be a low cost for the hotel but they can in turn get a better reputation. This is what the management should consider. 2. Handling of trash and rubbish As a 4-star apartment, we didn’t expect to handle our trash on the checkout date. This doesn’t sound to be a very good living experience. 3. Passive aggressive manner from the staff We have stored our luggage on the checkout date. When we tried to get our luggage, there was no one at the reception and there was a sign saying “Back in 5 minutes”. Eventually, when the staff came back, he gave us an attitude by blaming us disturbing his lunch hour.

Big PROBLEMS with check-in. We arrived after 19:00 and the reception was CLOSED (they open at 23:00). The nearest open reception is 5 km away. After many phone calls, we were finally given a link to complete the check-in — which also wasnt easy. It took us about 2.5 hours before we could enter our room. We were literally standing outside the building trying to check in, pay the tourist tax, and pay the deposit, which was also problematic. guests have to take out their own trash when checking out. I’m just glad they didn’t also ask me to clean the staircase and wash the bed linens!
