This was a good hotel, but there were a few issues that made it pretty stressful. Thankfully, the staff did their best to fix those issues. The staff was wonderful, this isn't an issue with them. Annie was a great bartender too! There are just a few issues that could be a big problem for some people between noise, parking, and incidental up front costs.
- First issue was the noise. If you aren't a heavy sleeper and you have a room near the inner building alleyway, good luck. There is an EDM club that plays extremely loud music until 3am. I had to sleep with headphones. The staff tried to accommodate, but there were no rooms available to switch.
- The parking situation is bad. You have to hope for a metered street spot in front of the hotel, pay $49 a night for valet, or use a parking garage down the block. If you are handicapped or have trouble walking longer distance, I highly suggest somewhere else or be willing to pay the valet.
- Originally, when I booked my hotel, the deposit was supposed to be $192 according to hotels.com . The hotel charged me $222 upon me booking. Total booking was supposed to be $694, but by the time I was in the hotel I had been charged over $1000. After multiple phone calls with hotels.com and the Mining Exchange, I finally had someone explain they charge $125 per night incidental up front, then the charge falls off later. I am not sure why over the month leading up to it, no one could explain that.
