The electric kettle didn’t work but they supplied me with a working kettle immediately.
Service was with a smile - from all.
I requested a low floor in advance and was given one with two lovely views of trees.
The reception desk personnel went above and beyond the basics by (for instance) helping me with questions - such as public transportation (minibus services) to the nearby Turda Salina salt mines.
A note of warning: the hotel is close to many central attractions but you must walk up a very steep incline for about 5-8 minutes to reach the hotel on foot because there is no bus stop immediately close by. The reception clerk told me this and I wisely took a taxi to get there.
But - I was able to depart on foot upon check out with my heavy suitcase on wheels because it’s a downhill walk to the nearest bus station.
I’m very glad I visited Cluj with its lovely parks, many museums, helpful local people (most younger people speak English very well) and stunning architecture throughout.
