We requested a room change on arrival as we were over looking a rusted metal roof top! Vineet spoke to reception and sorted it for us. All staff are always helpful. Yangsong, Leela, always went over and above to help. Shiva, the head of food and beverage, the deputy front desk manager who arranged our taxi, even the GM, all so approachable! The Leela Ashtamudi is a truly beautiful hotel with a prime position overlooking the backwaters. The staff were excellent. The complementary high tea and house boat cruise really made our stay in Kollam. Our room was of a very high standard but tired in areas, as were some parts of the hotel. Overall excellent but management could really do with investing in maintenance/upgrade to make this a truly world class destination.
