The shepherds hut I stayed in for one night was so warm and cosy, it was like staying in a giant wendy house. I would have liked face to face contact with the host, but I guess thats a "sign of the times" Beautiful view of the countryside.

This is located almost on a roundabout of a major road, however, it wasn’t noisy at all. Close to stone henge and literally across the street from a restaurant pub. Great people. The site itself is a little muddy due to some construction happening but I’m sure it will be fine in the summer time.

Check in was quick & easy - I had booked a bell tent, but due to poor weather I was given a free upgrade to a shepherds hut - thank you very much. I had actually dropped my stuff of inside the tent, which was clean, airy and the bed looked well comfy. Very pet friendly & great views across the valley. You are right next to a busy B road, so do bear that in mind, but it's not too bad. The parking is a bit restricted, but plenty across the road. The kitchen, cooking area was good, simple, but good. Only thing that could make it better is a fridge/freezer. Pub right next to the camp site, and Sainsburys small supermarket about a 10/15 min walk away.

It was enjoyable ,one thing was that our mattress was a bit uncomfortable (one side was lopsided).Overall though it was very nice with comfortable cushions and pouffes with a gentle soft light in the evening . The price was reasonable & kitchen area helpful but windows were cobwebby ( I have a fear of spiders ) & a bit off putting . The Stonehenge pub had adequate food but the table felt sticky , in fact I went to a couple more which felt sticky too . Staff friendly , owner helpful answering the phone promptly when I had a question

We needed somewhere to stay for a night near stone henge and this was perfect. This was a great location, the shepherds hut was very clean, a good size, and had everything we could need for a night. Comfy bed and great shower.

Before arrival communication was fine but parking was very difficult. The people in front of us were told after a lengthy wait at the intercom to park wherever they could. I appreciate that you can park at the pub opposite but this is only for paying customers which we did not intend to be. Access was ok for us but would be difficult for those with mobility issues due to uneven boards leading to the field. Our shepherds hut was The Chapel and whilst it may be that the previous high reviews are for the other huts this one was extremely disappointing. It was dirty, had mould around the shower and was generally unkempt. The bed looked nicely made with clean bedding, but as the appearance did not fit with the rest of the hut, I checked and found the mattress protector to be very stained. The chair was likewise very dirty and stained. We did not feel able to stay and thankfully found somewhere else at very short notice. I have never left a negative review before but feel it is my only option in this case.

It was a beautiful place! The host was very nice and friendly; she came out to help us with things we could have read in the info packet she’d emailed, but she didn’t display the least bit of annoyance. Instead, she conversed with us a bit about the property. The tents are so nice and gave little touches that take it over the top: water bottles, ear plugs, eye masks, decor, space heater, lights over the entrance (didn’t keep me awake). The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom building was very clean and had a washer/dryer.

A great location to explore the area, including walking distance to WoodHenge, a short drive to Stonehenge and an hour from Glastonbury. Very quiet, peaceful and quaint. The perfect short break away.
