Had an amazing Safari experience with the Ngatuny family, we stayed there for three nights and it wasnt even enough because there you can do a lot ;-)
They are Masais and can tell you alot about their culture and way of life. Also there is a school nearby which you can visit with the Ngatunys (Thank you Betty :-))
The Booking process was very easy and friendly, their cottages are really huge and comfortable, with own hot shower and seperate toilet. They were always super super clean.
The staff at the house also were (like the owners) absolutely amazing… such friendly people who help with anything out if its possible. The kitchen and food was also amazing, they prepared a lot of faboulus dishes (even for us as vegetarians)
Our game drives in Masai Mara were led by one of the owners (Stephen). The booking for the game drives has to be done seperately with the owners. They are not included in the cottage price. But it is really affordable and worth it!
Stephen is always informed about the current sightings because of a radio in the safari vehicle and because it seemed that he knows everybody in the park :-) He managed it that we saw all of the big five and even more. Our highlights were the hunting Cheetah, black rhino, serval cat and the leopard.
We‘ve been very very lucky and we hope to come back (home) soon to the Ngatunys :-)
