Staff were friendly, the French bloke ( we did not get his name) was friendly and helpful, funny and hard working, The room was a good size with a nice view of the gardens and pond, a good size bathroom, the room was clean. The food was nice, the evening meal menu is limited, could do with a bit more choice. Plenty of parking and a nice area for a walk

A great place hidden away. Lovely rooms and very quiet. Good to have the Trackman driving range on site but the staff there need some lessons in attentiveness rather than just looking at their phones! Food was reasonable but let down by a couple of points: Burgers don't seem to come with chips which is a bit odd and breakfast is quite expensive at £12 and doesn't even include a tea or coffee. I asked for invoices and was told they would automatically be sent by email after checkout - nothing received!

Lovely hotel set by a lake. Room was amazing as we stayed in a suite which was modern and spacious. Only missing a fridge which would have been good but not major issue as only stayed 1 night. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Food and Drinks very nice and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this hotel and will return!

Third time staying here (previously called Kingfisher) and just as good as before and incredible value. Comfy room, parking right outside and a lovely bar to relax in. The cooked breakfast was excellent and good value. Definitely coming back next time we visit the area

First time staying at the hotel. We arrived late after 9pm so had to locate the night porter to get our room key. The hotel doesn't have a traditional reception, so checkin before 9pm uses the bar and after, the night porter is in a separate office away from the main building. The room was spotless, something that is rare these days. The bedding and the bathroom all looked very new. Firm bed, with a mattress topper was ok for us, however the pillows were too deep for me. We stayed on a room only basis, so can't comment on the food and drink options but overall we were pleasantly surprised. If the hotel read this review, I should mention the light outside room 9 was blinking all night, something I should have mentioned on check out.

Great location, quiet with lakeside view. I have not given 4stars simply due to the heat in the room, no AC and windows only open around 5CMs. It’s a terrible shame as the room was spotlessly clean and superb shower room.

Excellent stay. Clean room, Great location for peace & quiet. Fantastic Gym facilities. The ONLY downside - couldn't get the sauna to work BUT none the less, would definitely recommend.

Really friendly staff. Newly renovated and very clean. Good facilities. Food excellent. Only niggle is when staying longer than 1 night it is hit and miss as to whether housekeeping is done each day.

Spacious and clean room with a very comfortable bed. The outlook across the lake was very pretty and parking was easy. The bar/restaurant was tastefully decorated and was a pleasant spot for a drink and dinner. Breakfast was 'made to order' and quite ok. The out of town location made this a very restful spot.

Great stay, rooms are really hot as no air con, fan is provided in room, rooms very modern and clean, staff helpful but when busy could do with more help. Breakfast was good, does take a little while as cook to order. Need to put up abit more signage. Overall a great stay, but you do need a car

A lovely venue in the countryside where we stayed for a music event. Very nice spacious and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Was just missing hangers in the wardrobe. Would have been nice to have EV charging available.

Really good hotel rooms, excellent staff who are very friendly, and a nice restaurant and bar area. One thing that lets it down is when walking into the reception. There are a lot of cigarette butts on the floor, which is not the best first impression. This could be down to hotel guests with very poor manners.

Well decent place overall clean and good wifi nice room the only thing was food? Though it tasted ok the 45 min wait for dinner when only 5 people in was annoying? Breakfast needs a lot of looking at after paying for the cooked as there was no cereal available, I asked for juice but that was extra £4.50 and so I asked for tea an extra £3.50 on top of my paid breakfast? Then the 30 minute wait when I was the only one in the restaurant. Not great really and the guy was more interested in playing on his phone.

Turned up after a day at Silverstone...hotel and grounds are beautiful but there was a "Ibiza revival" on so very loud dance music,people out of their tree on drugs/drink. Didn't stay..ended up in a premier inn which was quiet and relaxing.
