The room and bed were lovely and very comfortable. Any extras asked for were available. Use of a kitchen with keurag, refrigerator and microwave available. Sunroom was comfortable with a large tv, game room, dining room, and eloquent living room. Bathrooms were nice, modern but with old fashioned touches, soft towels, toiletries and even robes.

I can’t say enough about my stay at Huddy House. My room was just beautiful, so tastefully decorated, meticulously clean and very well appointed. The full hot breakfast included with my reservation was delightful and delicious, with an amazing selection of teas and tasty dishes. I booked a stay due to being out of state and dealing with a family member’s hospitalization and relished retreating to this special space each evening. Many thanks to Ms. Vickie for being such a generous and attentive host!

The Huddy House was the best experience I have had lately with traveling. The house and rooms are beautiful and elegant. Our host offered us free treats and drinks, as well as beach towels and chairs to use on our beach trip. We were given a free breakfast which had the most delicious scone I have ever had! I would recommend the Huddy House over a hotel any day. You wont regret a stay here.

The room we stayed in was absolutely delightful and well appointed. However, none of the guestrooms at this hotel have an en suite bathroom. The website does make that clear, but it’s several layers down before you get to that information. It was my presumption for a bed-and-breakfast hotel at this price level that all rooms would be equipped with en suite bathrooms, but that is not the case. It doesn’t make it for a bad stay, you just have to be aware before you go in. The property itself and the rooms are relatively small compared to some others that I’ve stayed at in the area. They are, however, beautifully appointed, with acres of wood paneling and lovely furniture. Delightful China is on display throughout the property. The breakfast was absolutely superlative. One of the best prepared and most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. However, you do have to walk a block to a Companion B&B in order to eat. The Mathis House bed-and-breakfast is also a delightful place to stay, and has many items for sale throughout their tea room and boutiques. I’d look forward to staying at either property again. It’s conveniently located in Toms River. But, if an en suite bathroom is a requirement, stay at the Mathis.
