Brilliant Hotel clean and staff very helpful. Comfortable bed and a peaceful hotel. Food excellent but if I had a bone to pick I could have done with vegetables with my steak instead of salad which came as standard but all in all I’d definately go back again it was a memorable stay.

This is beautifully decorated property and the gardens are well maintained as well. This property also has some historical importance i.e. was once owned by Beatrix Potter. Food is good. Rooms are clean. There is parking available on site. Location is conveniently close to places of walk.
Unimpressed by shower as the prssure was poor.
Bed mattress i did not find it. comfortable.

Very clean and smart room. Public areas are all very well kept and very nicely decorated with plenty of character. There is a very smart homely atmosphere. All the staff have been very friendly and professional. There was a maintenance problem, which couldn’t be resolved, but a suitable option was offered immediately - which we were happy with.
Evening meal was very nice - a little pricey, but to be expected at a hotel in the Lake District. The gentleman running the bar (from Glasgow) was particularly chatty and attentive. Reception staff were lovely and the young lady who served us in the restaurant was very polite and professional (young lady with strawberry blonde hair tied back). Thank you - we had a very lovely stay.

Lovely hotel with a beautiful views and a good background histories. The room is clean and tidy with good amenities. Staff is extremely friendly and provide very good advice for activities.
The breakfast was lovely on the first day of our day, unfortunately it went down in quality on the second day when it gets very busy.
Will recommend to people and love to visit again.

This was a beautiful hotel and we will definitely stay again.
They catered for me gluten free and vegan.
The decor is quirky and tasteful and the huge bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave.
Within walking distance of town but you almost don’t want to leave. Thank you and well done the team.
