Charming rial a stone’s throw from the Medina. My train was late due to flooding and the staff not only had stayed up until 4 am to greet me but offered to make me something for dinner. The room was clean, beautiful, and breakfast simple and delicious. Next time I am in Fes, I will definitely stay at Layalina.

Riad Laylina is beautiful, clean, has great views, and is in a great location. Mohamad did a superb job making sure we were taken care of. He made a fantastic breakfast, gave recommendations of where to go, and set us up on a tour. The tour was with Abdoul. Abdoul is extremely knowledgeable and knows the history and landmarks of the city very well. I highly recommend taking advantage of the tour, just ask Mohamad and he will set it up.

The hotel located at end of a little street near the Medina. It is a little hard to find, a local guy led us and locked in the door a while to get staff’s attention. There is no reception desk inside and no bottle water offered for the day. The hotel is about 12-15 minutes walking to the blue gate.

We had a 3-night stay booked but ended up checking out after a few hours due to the room setup. Our room did not have an en-suite bathroom—the bathroom was located outside the room across a shared staircase area. While we were told it was private, the lock did not function properly, which made us uncomfortable. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the riad itself is beautiful. There may have just been a mismatch in expectations, as this setup wasn’t clear to us when booking. We were charged for the stay, breakfast, and transport, and payment had to be made in cash, which required an extra trip to withdraw money. Pros: - Great location - Beautiful, traditional riad - Very kind and helpful staff Cons: - Bathroom not attached to the room - Bathroom lock did not work properly - Cash payment only Overall, a lovely riad, but worth confirming room details if you prefer more modern amenities.

Fantastic!

Had a great time staying at this riad. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with all our requests, food, directions, tours, shopping - you name it! The space was clean, comfortable and really had the Moroccan charm we were hoping for. It's only steps away from the medina near the car park which made it really easy to find. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the ladies make everything fresh as soon as you're seated. This was by far the best place we stayed in Morocco. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Riad Layalina for 4 nights. It was an excellent experience, I'd give them 6 out of 5 if I could. Great location - easy to get to, you can get by car or taxi right to the entrance door. Medina streets are just a couple of steps away. Views from the rooftop & the terrace are awesome. We also booked a Medina walking tour & a couple of day trips via Riad Layalina - and it was a very enjoyable experience. Breakfast was included in the stay - and it was great. We also booked evening dinners at the riad - and it was an exciting exploration of Moroccan cuisine, we highly recommend. And last but not least - the family team at Riad Layalina are exceptional hosts!

This is a gem of a small Riad! The beautiful center courtyard, where our room faced, is light & airy and filled with amazing mosaics, stunning painted ceilings and intricate plaster reliefs. Riad Layalina is lovely and serene in the midst of the chaos of the medina. Morocco is still just opening up again after the covid year and i was the only guest. My room was beautiful and overlooked the courtyard. The terrace has incredible views of the city. My hosts treated me very graciously and helped me to navigate the area around the hotel. Riad Layalina exceeded our expectations! It was easy for our driver to drop us off, right at the front door so we didn’t have to carry our luggage any distance. The staff were incredibly hospitable as well! We were welcomed with mint tea and other delicious treats/fruit even with our late arrival. All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. They were friendly and spoke English perfectly. The riad was also ornately decorated everywhere you looked! It was absolutely stunning; it was the most memorable and beautiful place we stayed through our entire vacation.

10/10 would come stay again!

Jerome and the staff at Riad Lyalina went truly above and beyond to make my travel companion and me feel welcome and cared for on our first trip to Morocco. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable. It was cool in Fez while we were visiting so the high quality bed comforters and very hot shower were excellent treats. Breakfast was delicious with the best savory crepes I had during my entire trip! The location is perfect for accessing the medina as well as getting dropped off by taxi and having only a short, safe walk to the entrance. We didn't drive, but there are safe spaces for private vehicles or motorcycles. I wouldn't hesitate to return this riad in a heartbeat!
