Do not stay here, unless you want to stay at a Backpackers hostel/lodge. This isn't a hotel, but is charging hotel money (we booked 6 months ahead). No privacy, paper-thin walls (snoring first night, early start noise 2nd night), tea/coffee - no milk, small fridge, no housekeeping, no other stuff. Balcony is shared with 3 other "Lake View Rooms" so, no privacy. View of the lake mostly obscured by large trees and long veranda roof, but a lovely lake it is! It is a 5-min walk to town centre.
So, not a hotel then!

Very well laid out communal cooking, dining and lounge areas. Perfect place for affordable accommodation that is across from the lake and minutes from the town centre. This is the perfect place for young adults upwards, they clearly state no young children. My private ensuite room was very clean and comfortable with lake views and a blacony area. The only thing about my room is they need to fix the front facing window so you can open it especially as the weather warms up

The experience of watching the snowfall over the lake from the comfort of the Lofts was nothing short of magical. The serene and picturesque setting provided an unforgettable backdrop to our stay. Everything about Lakewood Lofts, from the warm and inviting atmosphere to the stunning natural beauty right at our doorstep, was absolutely wonderful. It's a rare find that offers a perfect blend of comfort and natural beauty. I can't recommend it enough to anyone visiting Te Anau.

Ok property but not better than others

Decent property, close to everything. Tv in room required a special app to use which we didn't have so no tv for two nights. Really, how expensive is basic cable? The room was expensive for what we got.
