Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Listing and No Accountability
I booked a full week at The Inn at Fox Meadow through Expedia, but never stayed a single night due to the condition of the property. After arriving late at night from an international flight, I found trash in the stairwell, an open room nearby with clothes all over the floor, and my assigned room — located in a hot, dirty attic — was nothing like what was shown online.
I called the manager immediately and left a message, but received no response. I had to leave and book a nearby DoubleTree just to have a clean, safe place to sleep.
Expedia contacted the manager on my behalf for a refund, but he refused. He later called me personally, was rude, and insisted he wouldn’t refund me “a dime.” I’m 76 years old and was not informed the room would require climbing three flights of stairs, which was not clearly disclosed on the site.
I now understand why they don’t have a front desk or allow people to view rooms beforehand. This experience was stressful, costly, and completely unfair. Expedia should reconsider listing properties that treat guests this way. I would never recommend this place.
