Quite eatable breakfast, but far too many guests, including families with noisy children, attending, especially from 8.30AM onwards. Avoid this hotel if you want to enjoy a quiet breakfast and more than 45 minutes to do so..

Room cleaning was “on demand”. When we requested cleaning the bath towels were left in a pile in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Did not care for the selection of food at the restaurants. Not much else in the immediate vicinity as far as restaurants go. Upon checkout I explained that we made this reservation several months prior and it had been advertised as ‘breakfast included’. Staff insisted that it had not and so we were forced to pay for breakfast each day. Buyer beware!

We had a rather odd experience at this hotel when checking in. We were two couples on one booking. On checking in, one couple was informed that we had been upgraded to an executive room but without access to the executive lounge. The other couple did not get a room upgrade but did get an upgrade to use the executive lounge. This left us with one of our couples able to access these facilities but the other not, unless we paid an additional £100 for the three nights. We felt obliged to do this so that we could all use the same facilities but honestly felt it was a rather bizarre way for the hotel to behave and left with a slight suspicion that it was a way to induce people to pay extra for these facilities. Other than that a good experience with the only poor aspect being a rather erratic cleaning service. They didn't replenish our tea and coffee on the first morning and left dirty coffee cups in the room. The second day they replenished the tea and coffee but removed all the coffee cups and most oddly removed the two bottles of unopened complementary water. We were also shocked to discover that one of the bottles of wine in the mini bar was empty and had to dispute this with reception on checkout.

Booked the Lounge access room and the room allocated was great, lounge is OK to repair to at days end. Loved the breakfast and huge credits to Mostafa- he was brilliant, caring and fun to talk to. The breakfast area was pristine, not a finger mark on the toaster and choice was great. Staff generally were lovely and we would always come back! STROMMA HOHO bus stops right out front, close to railway stations and waterfront for sundowners. 🙏
