A Budget hotel of £35 a night in a average state room clean bathroom cleaned and a single comfortable bed I stayed for 3 nights etc and close to Nottingham Town centre and to visit trent Bridge cricket ground and the trent bridge Inn pub

Terrible smell from the moment you walk into the door. Absolutely disgusting room. Full of people that have hit hard times. They have a no refund policy because they know that the moment you see it you will ask for 1. I’d give it zero stars or minus but there is no option for that

Staff were very pleasant and helpful, sadly this is the only positive thing I can say about the Cotswold Hotel. The room was one of the smallest I've ever stayed in, the door only just clearing the bottom of the bed. The walls were super thin so unfortunately I could hear everything going on in the room next door, including very loud talking and shouting until 2am and two rounds of 'togetherness' in the morning. There were multiple old stains on the wall and wall mounted TV had wires coming out of everywhere. The delightful view from the window looked over the rear of the property which included multiple matresses, piles of rubble and a general dumping site. Parking convenient just outside the front, I luckily got the last space.

The room was clean. The staff were very welcoming. The parking was available at £10 per night. Lidl shopping is directly across the road. The rooms require minor maintenance of the bedside lamps and shower cubicle The location on Mansfield Road is ideal for travel to Nottm or Sherwood on public transport.

On arrival staff on duty were nice. But on departure today the staff was awful, no customer service skills at all. The Room was clean however the bed was a shambles. Pressed it down and it fell right through, nothing holding it together. The mattress was all spring no padding so hard and uncomfortable, Had to complain to staff to make it right. Not what you would expect.

Very disappointing stay. The TV in the room didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed, there were patches of black mould on the walls, there was remains of food under the bed, exposed wiring from a broken light fitting, the decorative standard was very poor, and the carpet was very badly fitted. Pretty much as low as you can get in Nottingham, this is a basic no-frills hotel that only exists because there is a ridiculous dearth of decent value hotels in the city. The one plus was that the staff were helpful and responsive when I explained that I would not be able to check in until very late at night. The room itself was tiny and there were suspicious stains on the carpet, cigarette burn marks on the basin. I had to go to reception to get a towel and shower gel. Toilet seat was broken and the blinds didn't really close properly. The arrival area, stairs, hallways etc are all very basic with no attempt whatsoever to try and make the place look attractive. If you book this place for a getaway with your partner you can expect to get divorce papers shortly afterwards!
