Super easy check in! There is a gate, and you must use your keycard to get in past a certain time. I like this sort of security. Room is clean and looks to have a newly renovated bathroom.

It was a great stay for what we needed. We didnt plan to stay in the hotel for most of the trip. We needed a place to sleep and this location was perfect! Close to everything that we wanted to do/visit. Rooms were a good size just for us 2. Like i said we just needed a place to sleep. All the front desk were super friendly and helpful!

We checked in and out afterhours and the detailed instructions that were provided made the process seamless. The property was cute, clean and quiet. The room was a nice size and again very clean. I will definitely book again when traveling to San Diego in the future!

Visited San Diego for a conference over the weekend, and needed an economical place to stay. Uptown Inn suited our needs perfectly for that. We were out of the room for most of the day and mainly needed it to sleep. Also used the shared kitchen which was clean as well. Given our needs, it was 5 stars.

Besides a rude encounter with another guest, the staff were super nice and helpful. Room was really nice but small. Bed was amazing! Only con is I wanted to check out at 0730, and needed a receipt for work but the front desk was not open. Overall great hotel great staff.

It’s very small, very basic, but all you need. If you’re picky/bougie don’t stay here. My room was not sparkly clean, there was hair in the shower and a used contact lens on the floor near the bed (gross). The “closet” had three plastic hangers, the bathroom is a small closet. The mini fridge worked well, as did the window a/c unit. There was no view, the window shades covered all and there was no point in opening them to look at a building. Sure, the bed was comfy, but not anything special, it just wasn’t a bad bed. Four pillows. I did appreciate the vanity mirror with a built in light. The door barely locked, a bit scary for a single woman traveler such as myself but there was no issue. There is a shared kitchen, it looked clean but I didn’t use it. This is basically a deluxe hostel, and you get what you pay for. I also liked that the people at the front desk were all friendly, and they held my luggage for me after checking out.

A good place to stay if you aren't picky. Clean room. The bathroom exhaust fan is not working and also, the toilet paper holder is located in an awkward position. You have to some acrobatic stunt hehehehe. But otherwise it is clean.

Treated my husband to a quick small vacation to San Diego to visit museums and the zoo. The area has a Whole Foods and other great restaurants and bars all in walking distance. Center of San Diego so commuting by car was fairly swift. Our room was clean and simple. They do note it is a limited service hotel, but there was a communal kitchen. it is a bit loud in the hallways from other guests or employees talking (walls are a bit thin). Yet we still got good sleep and everyone was quite nice. I would definitely come back to stay, and future go to!

Very Disappointing for Hotels.com to have

well to say the truth, Poor Quailty,.sound like the all the windows were open while sleeping, and windows were closed ,you can hear all noice from outside, car noise people noise, terrible. inside shower had no soap dish, or shelf had to put soap bar on floor. no phone to contact front desk. no shelf or table by bed or drawers nothing. Iron but no Iron board. worst stay ever for what we paid for that the night? aweful

We had a wonderful stay. Ended up arriving early and they let us check in. The room had a very good AC and comfortable beds so we had the best sleep while in hot San Diego weather. The staff are so friendly and were very accommodating and quick to action when we needed anything. The rooms do get some noise from the road but they provide ear plugs so it wasn’t an issue.
