This parador is truly a gem. It has been fully restored while preserving its charming, historic ambiance. The rooms are comfortable, and ours even featured a small balcony where we enjoyed the sunset alongside a glass of local red wine. The location is ideal—just 2.5 km from the town of Cangas de Onís and nestled at the base of the Picos de Europa National Park. Both are must-visit destinations. Cangas de Onís is a delightful town filled with boutique shops, cozy cafes, and excellent restaurants, as well as numerous cultural landmarks. Meanwhile, the Picos de Europa National Park offers breathtaking natural beauty that is nothing short of spectacular.

Great place to stay. Good access to major scenic towns and hiking in the Picos de Europas. Was little disappointed they didn't have air conditioning running in November so we could keep room really cold for my wife, however they brought us a fan and that worked well. Great food and service. Breakfast was delicious and the lasagna dinner was memorable. Beds could use some upgrading as they were a bit stiff. Again service is top notch and everyone is so helpful. Would recommend staying here and enjoying the history of the property and the nearby town of Cangas de Onis as well.

This property was a monastery. It’s renovated. You can see the details of the building, the manager explained the history of the buildings. That staff are very nice and go beyond to help you in everything. They have great choice for eating, the patio is a wonderful place to have a cup of wine, read, chat or the like. Nice hotel. Our room was too close to a main road. The food options are not great. The restaurant specialises in over-complicated fine dining, but it is not actually very good. And there were no healthy options. At the bar we had a pizza, which was undercooked and had a massive slab of Cabrales cheese. Nice cheese, but it really doesn't work on pizza, especially as a luke-warm massive non-melted chunk. Breakfast was just strange. Unfriendly. The walk into town along the river is great.
