Very relaxing and chilled atmosphere throughout hotel. Rooms spotless. Breakfast a very high quality. Having the option to book pool for own use felt like a luxury. Also complimentary drink was not expected but was very appreciated. Great location for coast. Staff very attentive.

This was a great stopover on our road trip. We loved the room & the pool / sauna. The only issue we had was a lengthy wait for our dinner service - over 45 mins. Not sure if our order was missed by the staff or there was a long order list. Other than this, the stay was most enjoyable.

Lovely hotel in a fab location. Biggest Plus room was beautifully finished. Restaurant food was very good. The biggest asset of this hotel is its staff, super helpful and friendly.

Pool isn't heated and no information to say otherwise. Jacuzzi was cold, sauna was cold. The mirror in the bed is too far away from the plug sockets to use the hairdryer. There isn't enough staff for such a big hotel. Reception staff and bar staff trying to cover the restaurant and it falls short of anything like a luxury boutique hotel. Management need to have a good look at what is really happening. Could be a freaky nice hotel and if it wasn't for the young lady on reception we would have left on the first night.

We have just returned from the most wonderful four-day stay at The Harper Hotel and honestly cannot praise it enough. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Keith greeted us and showed us to our room, Room 211, which was absolutely lovely. It is right at the end of the corridor, so it was incredibly quiet, which was perfect for us. The room itself was beautiful, and all the little extras made such a difference, from the bottled water and crisps to the homemade cookies. It was those thoughtful touches that made us feel looked after straight away. We ate at the hotel every evening, and the food was excellent. We tried both the restaurant and the bar food and genuinely could not fault anything. Everything was beautifully cooked, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable. The staff really made the stay for us. Everyone was friendly, warm and helpful without ever being over the top. We loved the way the staff interacted with the guests. It felt very informal and relaxed, yet at the same time extremely professional, which is quite a difficult balance to get right. A big thank you to Andrew, the General Manager, because whatever he is doing with his team, it works. There is such a lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel, and you can tell that the staff genuinely care about the people staying there. The spa was wonderful too, and the hotel is in a fantastic location, close to everything we wanted to visit. My sister and I travel all over the world

Lovely welcome from Keith on arrival, who looked after us in a very kind efficient way. Great dog friendly hotel near fab walks, pubs etc Only downside was our room was very warm even with both windows open.

Was slighty disappointed that the evening meal menu was limited. Would of also been nice to know you had to book the swimming pool for a half hour slot. Saw nothing on that on the website. Lockers in changing roo. Could do with amd update and maybe some mats on the floor coming out of the shower, was worried about slipping on the floor. But the service was good and friendly. Lovy touches in the room like a free cookie and complementary drinks. Love the furniture old stuff re vamped into tables and useful objects. Do think it is a bit overpriced for the rooms. But would stay again.

Friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble they were very accommodating, lovely well kept hotel with plenty of character. We had the beef tenderloin in the restaurant and it was sublime, lots of nice lounging areas and a beautiful little courtyard area as well. We enjoyed the complimentary private use of the spa and opted to have back massages which was so relaxing. Overall experience was 10/10
