I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Fiji and was upgraded to a suite, which was a delightful surprise. The suite featured a spa bath in the bathroom, offering a much-needed space for a mum of three to unwind and relax.
The hotel lobby bar played lovely, relaxing reggae music in the evenings—an amazing way to start the night. The room service menu included a delicious butter chicken, and the cocktails were simply delightful. The meals served were large, and the buffet breakfast was particularly impressive.
I treated myself to a spa massage, which was very relaxing, adding to the overall experience. However, the hotel is still under construction, and while it will be lovely for Nadi once complete, the current view from my room overlooked the construction site. This wasn't ideal, and I found myself keeping the curtains closed most of the time. This wouldn’t be an issue if you’re out all day exploring.
There were some drawbacks during my stay. The adult pool was closed, so there was no deep pool for adults to swim in or a swim-up bar to enjoy. It was also difficult to find a lounge chair around the part of the pool that was open. Additionally, I hurt my ankle during my stay, and while reception was kind enough to provide a bandage, there was no doctor on-site, which would have been preferable before flying home.
Lastly, there was some hammering and drilling in the mornings, though it wasn’t too disruptive. The food at the hotel was expensive
