The staff at the hotel are extremely nice and helpful, going out of their way to offer help and advice. We were also particularly surprised and grateful when a cake and sparkling wine was delivered by room service to mark my daughters birthday, it was a really nice touch. Our room wss nice and clean, plus very comfortable. The added bonus of a TV that let us stream from our devices was nice too. Food was in the main nice/good. We only ate at breakfast and dinner, so only had the buffet food. There was a great salad selection each night and a variety of local foods, plus pasta. Thr pool unfortunately I felt lets the hotel down. As the name suggests, it is an attrium, so it is completely surrounded by the hotel..this means it is a bit shaded at times, but main issue is it was unfortunately not the clearest and had signs that it needed a bit more cleaning along the sides where green algae was starting to show. Other things to consider - it is in a built up area , so there is a bit of street noise and parking is on the street. We didnt struggle to find a space , but did feel like we got lucky. Its a nice hotel though, and very close to the beach. It worked as a good base for our trip around the Island.

Nice hotel in good location. Staff friendly and rooms small but nice. A kettle in the room but no tea or coffee sachets. The swimming pool was too dirty to use (cloudy and with sand) and mostly in the shade. Location good near the beach and the old town. Of course this makes it noisy - light sleepers might need earplugs!

This is my second trip to the Atrium Ambiance Hotel and it didn't disappoint. The room was great and the hotel is in a good location, close to the beach and not too far from the centre of Rethymno. All staff were charming and helpful and I would like to say a special thanks to the bar staff Sissy and Nikos who were really lovely and looked after us every evening. Would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Booked a “Superior” room and they gave us a broom closet. We were supposed to have twin beds, but they gave us a king. Housekeeping then converted it into two twin beds pressed up against one another. Not like the photos at all (or my prior stay at the hotel). When I mentioned this, reception gave me he key to a larger room to look at. It was in line with the hotel photos, but the safe in this room was tiny and could not hold my valuables (the safe in the first room could). When I mentioned this, no further alternatives were offered so we chose the broom closet (and they charged me to use the safe). 12 tv channels worked, but 10 were in German (they offer 40 channels—this has nothing to do with the channels they tell you in advance they can’t get, these are the ones they offer but weren’t working). There is no maintenance person or manager before 9 or after 5. Bathroom was more of a wet room. Water temperature and pressure were inconsistent during the same shower. No working space in the bedroom or bathroom. Breakfast was disorganized and two of the breakfast ladies were unprofessional and irritating. Asked reception for a North American adapter. They gave me one for the UK. Asked again and they said they didn’t have one (that’s after two trips to reception). Receptionist was clueless when asked for a beach bed or restaurant recommendation. A very disappointing and uncomfortable two days. Will not return. Ever. Will never recommend.

Havde booket exec suite med jacuzzi og med vin og champagne serveret på vær ved ankomst. Suiten var ikke klar på check in tidspunktet pga problemer med jacuzzien. Da vi fik suiten efter noget tid var der ikke hverken vin eller champagne og glas som beskrevet. Jacuzzien virkede stadig ikke (gammel model uden instruktioner) og den kunne ikke varme. På anden dagen fik vi en flaske og noget frugt. På 3. dagen virkede jacuzzien stadig ikke efter en tekniker udefra havde været forbi. Vi anmodede derfor om et andet værelse med jacuzzi, som vi så først fik på 4. dagen. Vi skulle selv anmode om kompensation og tale med hotwlmanageren inden der skete noget. De til ød ikke noget af sig selv hvilket vi forventer når tingene ikke er i orden. Hotelmanageren var til dels imødekommende med et ekstra vær vi kunne bruge på 4. dagen og en 20 mins gratis massage. Den fik vi dog forlænget til 45 min. Alt i alt et ok hotel men forventede noget mere imødekommenhed og initiativ til at kompensere for at tingene ikke var i orden på den dyreste suite hotellet.

Sehr leckeres Frühstück sowie Abendbuffet. Die Regelung mit der Bezahlung der Getränke müsste nochmal überarbeitet werden. Man muss aktuell jeden Abend unterschreiben, wenn man die Getränke nach dem Aufenthalt zahlen möchte. Besser wäre es hier wenn sich das einmal im System für die Zimmernummer gemerkt werden würde. Sehr schöne Zimmer - Reinigung, wenn gewollt, jeden Tag. Trotz einem Zimmer mit Stadtblick konnten ohne Lärm super schlafen. Hotel sehr zentral und alles mit einem kurzen Fußweg zu erreichen.
