The room on the surface looked absolutely spotless. The smell, on the other hand, was on a different level! There is definitely a drainage issue here!
We settled with tolerance on the 4th room offered. On reflection, I wish we hadn't as the smell developed over the evening. We slept with the window open to ease the smell, but it made for a very cold night.
We are due to stay for a 2nd night tonight, but despite logging our issue last night we are unable to get a refund as we didn't opt for the cancellation policy. I have raised a complaint as the move is not out of choice, but we have been told that they need 24 hours to respond!
We stayed here last year, and returned for an event this year. I won't make the same mistake again next year!
