The rooms at Elmoro are not suitable.
1) Water in the room did not work
2) Centipedes, spiders & ants found throughout the room, bathroom, and at the foot of the bed
I initially booked a 3 night stay through hotels.com however after the first night, immediately went to find an employee to check out and request a refund for the next 2 nights for the 2 reasons mentioned above. The staff said they understood, apologised, and said I needed to request a refund via hotels.com. I asked for confirmation from them either via email or via their WhatsApp phone number to acknowledge that I am indeed checking out and that they agree to the refund. They apparently do not have a check-out process or system and they said giving confirmation via one of their branded channels was not possible as the owner was not currently present and only the owner has access to these channels. They assured me this would be taken care of and that I shouldn’t worry.
I insisted on needing something from the hotel before leaving however 3 different employees told me nothing could be done. At this point an hour has passed and I left to go check into the new hotel I booked- Hotel Diria, which is a fantastic establishment and where I recommend you stay if you are in need of accommodation in Tamarindo!
Upon requesting the refund via hotels.com, hotels.com said the hotel has refused the refund.
