Beautiful château! The room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated, and the air conditioning was a huge plus. The grounds surrounding the château are stunning, peaceful, and exceptionally well maintained. We saw a hare and lots of birds, which made the setting even more special. The breakfast wasn't very extensive, but everything was delicious and of excellent quality. Honestly, I didn't want to go anywhere else—I just wanted to stay at the château and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

Chateau Grattequina is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. All three of the front of house team were excellent and Lucy in particular made us very welcome on arrival. They are all friendly and charming. If you are oooking to do a wine tour or visit Bordeaux this is the perfect location. For a touch of class take the hotel’s own launch into the centre of Bordeaux. Lovely pool and grounds make it a great setting with beautiful decor and rooms.

We “ended up” at this hotel after hotels.com tricked us into an absolute dive of b&b. This place was so nice that upon arriving, we immediately cancelled our dinner plans, deciding g to just hang at the hotel. Some champagne, some wine, cheese plate … amazing. Next morning we explored the city and then back to hotel did the heat of the day - at the pool. Amazing. There is a gentleman, Max, who makes sure everything is top notch!

The hotel is a little gem just 30 mins outside of Bordeaux city. The building and rooms are beautiful, and the grounds stunning. We loved our room and it was very spacious with high ceilings. The pool was perfect for the heatwave as well! Food and drink were great but it doesn’t have a restaurant onsite - the staff prepare cold food but it was really tasty! We had a bit of an air con leak on arrival but the hotel got maintenance in the following day and fixed it quickly. Would definitely recommend if you’d like a peaceful chateau experience for a couple of nights!

Amazing stay close to Bordeaux but still secluded. We enjoyed a relaxed 2-night stay (in a spatious room), and especially enjoyed the 24/7-available wine bar as well as the sunrise on the estate with a coffee (included even if no breakfast is booked). Staff was very attentive and friendly, would definitely recommend!

We were here to rest and recharge after spending the day wine tasting. This chateau is quiet and peaceful. Staff is friendly and speaks our language which is not common in many parts of France. We would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Beautiful getaway

We had a wonderful one night stay in this beautiful chateaux after finishing up our cruise. The romantic room was gorgeous! Very comfortable bed, beautiful river view. I wish the menu had been bigger but the food was very good. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ger detta boende absolut högsta betyg. Toppklass, bästa service, vårt rum nr.8 glömmer vi aldrig så elegant med stor balkong. Enklare rätter finns men absolut bästa rekommendationer ger dom på restauranger en liten bit därifrån. Poolen ligger inbäddad i vacker grönska och blommor, skyddad från vinden. Topp! Så nöjda vi är.

The property was beautiful. Staff very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. If you are looking for a place out of the way, easy to drive to and quiet with views of the water this is the place. Note: the facility does not have a full menu for dining options but lots of options near by.

Fantastic place on the garonne river. Loved having picnics outside and taste the wide selection of self pouring wines. Staff were excellent apart from a lady at the front desk that was kind of rude on the fact that we could not bring food to the swimming pool ( that wasn’t explained to us at check in ), she made us feel very uncomfortable. But the two other gentleman at the front desk were great!

A beautiful chateau with some very nice amenities . However, more renovations are still needed. The staff is small and at times stretched to accommodate all guests. I do say the staff works hard to try make everyone’s stay perfect.

Chateau Grattequina is a magical place. The grand driveway goes on forever and then you see the beautiful gardens so many different flowers and fruit trees on the property. The condition is immaculate the grounds which are so vast are picture perfect. The grand entry way, the decor, the huge rooms, the back balcony, the pool. It is all perfect. We stayed with a large group of 16 guests and spent so much time just taking pictures every where we could. We also had a gala dinner all arranged by the staff and the execution was flawless. We cannot wait to come back. Bravo!
