This was the best of our 3 hotels during our recent trip to Lima and Cusco. They really paid attention to small details throughout the property and keep it well-maintained. They offer very clean rooms and bathrooms with bottles of water, daily housekeeping and extra towels (not available in other hotels). There is a tea station available 24 hours and the breakfast was delicious. Very close to main Plaza de Armas and several restaurants, stores, and spas, all within walking distance. They also keep the main door closed/locked at all times and have someone available to open for you, which added a level of security.
They few critiques I can offer are better hot water in the showers. We had to run the water a very long time to get it mediocre hot. After being outside in the cold rain all day, a cold shower is brutal. The walls are thin, so not ideal for sleeping in when everyone is moving around in the courtyard. Lastly, there are old school key locks on the room doors that require you to lock with the key from the inside - not major but could be problematic in an emergency.
Great price for an overall great experience. Thank you, Andenes.
