A charming small hotel with a fair price-to-quality ratio, located close to several lovely villages. The service was attentive and friendly, and overall we enjoyed our stay.
Unfortunately, our main disappointment was the restaurant. We chose the set menu, but none of the three dishes impressed us. Both the meat and the fish were tasteless and, in our opinion, seemed more like previously frozen products than fresh ingredients. This was particularly disappointing given the otherwise high standard of the hotel.
The wine, however, was very nice.
Breakfast was another disappointment. We arrived just four minutes after the official breakfast closing time and were told that we could no longer access the buffet. An “express breakfast” was offered instead, supposedly with fresher pastries. Unfortunately, the pastries tasted more like old supermarket products than fresh bakery items.
Overall, a charming hotel with good service and a great location, but the food experience did not live up to our expectations.
