This is the first time in my life that I have stayed in accommodation like this.
Even considering the prices in Rome, the room was far too small. The building itself was old and worn down, and it did not seem like there was any intention to renovate or maintain it properly.
In particular, the room we stayed in had no proper way to cover the window, so there was only a curtain. Through the gaps in that curtain, we could see other people passing through the corridor — and this was from the bathroom.
In the bathroom, the toilet and shower area were all in one space, and the only shower facility was a hose fixed to the ceiling, which was very inconvenient. The toilet could not even flush down two sheets of toilet paper properly.
The only advantages were that it was near Termini Station, and that there was air conditioning and an elevator.
Other than that, the corridor was noisy at all hours — late at night, early in the morning, and in the evening — with a mix of sounds from guests, suitcases, and staff. The interior felt almost like being in a prison.
The TV had no signal, so we were not able to watch it even once. Even after several days of housekeeping, the bed sheets did not seem to have been properly washed or changed. The rotating fixture on the ceiling looked so dusty that it seemed like dust would fall if we turned it on.
If I come back to Rome, I would absolutely never want to stay here again.
