Beautiful hotel up a hill from downtown but walkable. They also have a minibus that serves the area but we never used. Hiking was easily accessible and the heated pool was great after a day of hikes. Breakfast was sumptuous. We did not have dinners here but had happy hour cake and some good drinks in the bar. Parking was available on site

The spa was great! The rooms are ridiculously small and the bathroom is a glass door right in front of the bed. Offering NO privacy at all. The staff was kind and helpful. So if all you care about is the spa then stay here. Even though no massages were available.

With both Seceda and Alpe di Suisi cable cars with min walking distance to hotel it was the perfect location. The hotel offers an easy location to get to both while not in the heart of downtown Ortisei. The hotel offers a nice mix of relaxation (pool, silent room, and patio areas) with the access to summer hiking in the area. Great place to stay and really enjoyed our few days there.

What a place! It’s a bit of a ln uphill walk to get to the property if you don’t have a car but it’s well worth it. We stayed in the junior suite and had a beautiful view of the town of Ortisei and Seceda from our windows and spacious balcony. From our bathroom window, we had a view of the cable car leading up to Alpe Di Siusi. The bed was very comfy and we had lot of space for storing our belongings. The staff here were very friendly and helpful, we enjoyed breakfast here both mornings of our stay and indulged ourselves in their nightly tasting menu for dinner one evening. The highlight however is definitely the spa located on the lower floor. There’s an infinity pool, a silent room and the sauna area with a dry sauna, steam room and an infrared room. Such a relaxing space to enjoy after long days of hiking and wandering around the neighbouring towns. Only thing, I wish it were open longer as it’s only available from 3-7pm.

Tolles Hotel, ein tolles Familienunternehmen mit sehr freundlichem und aufmerksamem Personal. Sehr schöner Wellnessbereich. Eine phänomenale Aussicht. Auch die leise vorbeischwebenden Gondeln der Seiser-Alm-Seilbahn sind ein Hingucker. Super Frühstück, saubere, komfortable Zimmer. Es fehlt an nichts.

O hotel tem uma vista linda da cidade e montanhas, piscina agradável, muito bom para relaxar. Estilo montanha. O quarto bem grande, tudo confortável. Apenas senti falta do ar-condicionado, em junho é quente, quarto fica abafado, abrir janelas é uma opção, mas tem possibilidade de entrada de bichinhos. A equipe funcionários muito atenciosa, o café da manhã bom. Atentar para a caminhada até o centro, perto, mas é ladeira, então decidimos ir de carro. No geral tudo bom.

Överlag är vi väldigt nöjda med vistelsen, inte minst med orten. Hotellet var rent, fräscht och fint. Receptionspersonalen och städerskan var toppen, och även baren fungerade bra. Det som drog ner helhetsintrycket var restaurangpersonalen, där servicenivån varierade. Vid ett tillfälle hade en extra post lagts till på vår nota. I stället för att hantera det diskret uppstod en högljudd diskussion mellan personalen, inför övriga gäster. Det var inte vi som diskuterade högljutt, utan personalen sinsemellan. En märklig och obekväm situation som satte en del av upplevelsen ur spel. Hotellets buss till och från centrum var ett stort plus. Spaavdelningen var fin och fräsch, men poolen var ganska kall första dagen, även om det blev bättre dag två. Att inte få ta med sig en drink ner till spaområdet kändes också lite snopet när man är på semester. Det är svårt att sätta fingret på vad som saknades, men helhetsupplevelsen kändes något opersonlig. Hotellet verkar vilja kombinera en familjär atmosfär med exklusivitet, men vissa detaljer gör att det inte riktigt når hela vägen. Mycket var bra, men det finns potential att lyfta upplevelsen ytterligare.

This hotel was amazing in every way! From the impeccable service, the kind and helpful staff, the beautiful rooms, delicious food—the Rainell is in a league of its own. Be sure to check out the gorgeous pool/spa area.

This was a beautifully maintained property. All the staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist the guests. Lots of ammenities too! We were given some great hiking advice from the front desk. The town was so cute and we were able to take the gondolas/lifts to the top for some spectacular hiking. Highly recommend this family owned hotel!

The family and staff of Rainelle are so welcoming and delightful. The Silent Room with the incredible view of the mountains was a special experience that sets this hotel above the rest. The rooms are especially large and comfortable. There is a taxi stand in town that we took one evening after dinner since the bus had stopped running, to avoid the long walk up the hill. We walked the hill twice and it is challenging but totally doable if you are in decent shape. We are in our early 60s and in the area to hike so it didn't bother us too much.

I am writing to share my recent experience at Rainell Dolomites Retreat and advise against staying there. The cost of the room was disproportionately high given its quality and the extremely poor amenities. The actual condition of the property and rooms bears no resemblance to the images displayed on their website. Furthermore, the owners, who also operate the business, demonstrated a complete lack of customer service throughout my stay. The room itself had several issues, including a leaking shower and no body wash provided. The location is also incredibly inconvenient, making it difficult to access. There are many better alternatives available nearby, offering superior accommodations and more convenient access to local restaurants and the town. I strongly recommend choosing a different establishment for your stay.

Amazing hotel, amazing view, would stay again!

We stayed here for two nights and I only wish we had stayed longer!! The local area is fantastic for scenery and hiking and the town of Ortisei is so charming! We picked this hotel because of the location, ease of parking and the spectacular views and I can only say that we made a fantastic choice! There is a spacious parking lot, and the top area fills up so check down below if there aren't any spaces up top. Our room was beautiful, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony and an amazing view of town so we could sit out on our balcony and enjoy the view and fresh mountain air! The bed was super comfy too! The main downside was the shower. There is a glass partition to help keep the water in, but it doesn't do a great job so the floor gets all covered in water, so be careful, don't leave clothes on the floor. The amenities at this hotel are fantastic! They have a pool, a sauna and various other spa features, including you can book massages. They really cater to people who stay longer, offering guided group hikes in the nearby mountains (one reason I wish we had stayed longer). The breakfast spread offered by the hotel is fantastic! Hot and cold food, cheeses, cold cut meats, pastries, fruit and veggies, yogurt, eggs, juice, everything! We also ate dinner at the hotel one night and the food was amazing, definitely worth it, and after a long day of hiking in the mountains, it was nice not to have to leave the hotel in the evening. I loved this hotel!!

Perfect Hotel in a Great Town

The hotel was a true resort hotel. From the moment we walked in they led us to our room and explained our dinner options, transportation, and other activities. Because Ortesei is not a large town and there is plenty of space the room itself is very large. It was great having the extra space after the tiny rooms in Venice. The pool is kept to a nice 87 degrees so you can use it even when it's chilly outside. Dont forget your pool towels and robes when you go. As far as location Ortesei is a great home base in the Dolomites. The gondolas go right over this hotel and if you plan on hiking to Compatsch it's mostly downhill. The town had numerous little shops and restaurants. One cool thing was they gave us weekly bus passes so we were able to go up the lifts in Ortesei, go down at Suisi, and bus through the other small towns. At a minimum it's a free ride back to Balzano where the train station is.
