Location wise it’s very good and have some coffee shops around, old place but decent for stay. Service is really good and accommodating late checkins.

The room was OK. One of the issues we had is that the shower and toilet we’re in the same area with no division between them. The hotel was not on the water like they implied in a place that would stay if I had another choice.

Carpet very dirty, room smelled so strong of carpet freshener. curtains stained and barley covered the windows on the first floor. Furniture stained doors barely covered the opening to the outside. Property dirty… fish skeletons in the garden at the front office.

This is a budget property in Cascade Locks that I feel is a great bargain. It is an older property but it is well loved and there is pride by management in caring for it. The rooms are very nice sized, clean and the beds are comfortable. The air conditioning units work well and for convenience a microwave and small refrigerator are provided. WiFi is provided but a little on the slow side, full cable TV with premium channels is included, which is surprising at this price point. If you are looking for new, shiny and don't have tolerance for less, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a good bargain with better than average comfort for the price point, I think this might work for you. I have stayed three times and find it comfortable and homey. I think I will always stay here when I visit Cascade Locks...that is until developers buy it and rip it down for some uninteresting box hotel. This one is a little piece of Cascade Locks history...and the restaurant that now sits vacant out front of it, is a reminder of bygone times. And I'll add, the location is great... it is super convenient short walking distance to some good restaurants, a fantastic coffee shop, an old time ice cream and burger walkup, the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler, and some great hiking routes. The beauty of the Gorge is at it's peak right in this spot in my opinion.

Step up from tenting
Friendly and responsive staff. Hotel was in great location. They newly painted exterior in good shape. Our first room smelled like urine, smoke and wet dog. As we were leaving room to go to dinner we noticed door could easily be pushed open dispite being in locked position. I asked for another room and they immediately changed us. The next room was a bit better in smell but mattresses sagged and not much you can do about old interior( shower, sink and toilet) rust, chips, dents and moldy. Shower was part of toilet area that you step up into and sink was separated by wall next to the bed.. Strange set up. It did have a working mini fridge and microwave. It served its purpose for us on the last minute trip but i won't return.

The receptionist was rude and pre occupied and the rooms are ridiculous. I can't even describe the 'closet' bathrooms (i wish I could share a picture)

Room was not cleaned well and smelled musty. Layer of dirt in the closet shelf area. Dust on other areas like bedside tables and lamps. Shower area is old and stained. Staff was accommodating in letting us switch to another room. We were also able to get a refund back for the second night because we didn't want to stay for more than one night. Way overpriced for the quality of the room.

Great quick stay in a beautiful little town.
My husband and I stayed there Saturday before Father's Day for a little getaway. We have always seen the place but never stayed when we visit Cascade Locks. The hotel is an older hotel in the Columbia Gorge so it's going to have it's issues. But the lady at the front desk was very kind and very helpful. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. There were snacks in the room as well which was fun! The price was great for $150 for the night! We felt safe with our car parked in the parking lot. My husband and I will be back to support thsi business.
