Very welcoming with plenty of parking and a perfect breakfast with exactly what is requested. Very convenient for the steam railway and buses to Whitby or York with the most amazing scenery. Would definitely stay again.

A very warm welcome from Valerie after our long journey 'up North'. Room was inviting and cosy. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice,freshly cooked. Hotel location was also great to use as a base to venture around the area on days out. Would recommend.

From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for Val and her staff, the location is ideal for easy access to the local amenities, breakfast was superb especially as all produce is locally sourced - I'd definitely recommend staying.

Surprising Pickford

The location was ideal and the town of Pickering was very charming with a surprising number of interesting attractions. There was a castle, a museum and, the point of the trip, a now famous classic car auction site (Matthewsons).
