The room we were given was very disappointing. The moment we walked in, the air smelled stale and unpleasant. Although we stayed on the 17th floor, there was no natural light at all—our only view was of a parking area facing another building. The room itself was in poor condition and did not feel clean or well-maintained. We contacted management to request a better option since our stay was for 15 days. While they offered us a larger room, we did not move because it was in nearly the same condition, and the hassle of switching wasn’t worth it. The only positive aspect of this property is the friendly staff. Unfortunately, beyond that, I cannot recommend it and will not be staying here again.

The property and the rooms we booked were full of roaches and other bugs and bee bugs . The maintenance people knocked at our door at 11:30 pm twice one night and once the night after to check our sink or bathroom because they said the one room at our bottom has a leak in their ceiling no wonder our bathroom and the hallways there smell Like sewer . I asked for a refund and Expedia and the Malayan will not even give me credit or refund

Not the Malayan Plaza I knew. What has happened? Our room was old and run-down. Toilet shower partition was falling apart, our kitchen area was thick with grime. Owner and management should seriously consider to making this place the way it was. Very disappointed. :(

Not worth the Money

The bathroom toilet kept overflowing for three days. The maintenance man was unable to fix it. The room is very old with couch had tares in it. We moved to another room and the bedroom A/C unit never worked only blew hot air. Mantenance was me to fix. The sinks was very slow to drain. There were nats all over the bathroom. The hot water only lasted for maybe 2-3 minutes. There was supposed to be a microwave in the room but there was none. The elevators 3 out of 4 were broken for more than a day. The floor tiles in the room were old and cracked. The refrigerator did not work only slightly kept things like warm.

Look for another hotel.

Well I availed the studio superior on the website bed should be a queen size well I got a double sized bed, the room includes a mini fridge and a kitchen, there’s a stove no kitchen pots or a kettle to even boil a water for the coffee no coffee maker as well, what’s the sense of providing a mini kitchen if there are no kitchen utensils you can use, are the guest will be bringing it over during their stay? Extra pillows and blankets will incur additional fee, take note there’s no slippers and bathrobes in the room, hygiene kit only includes soap and shampoo bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. I’m so disappointed that we checked out around 5:30AM. Never going back to this hotel!

This property is poorly/badly maintained. When I checked in, you can smell sewage inside the elevator and there is even water(condensation) leaking inside the elevator unit. The room that I was put it the first time, has very nasty bathroom. The caulking is dirty and cracked, the floor is flooding with water from the shower and the shower valve is loose. On the kitchen, they provide a broken electric water pot patch with a tape. I requested to be transferred to another room that at first look nicer with nice looking bathroom. However, just the same, the caulking is dark dirty and has lots of mold. On the same night I transferred I got sick with cold and my family were coughing. Both rooms I’ve stayed has a porch that cannot be used because the area is so nasty with floors darkened by too much dust that is now like a dried mud and broken tiles and doors to the porch have broken handle and locks. Luckily, I was on 20th and up floor so I don’t worry about burglar barging in from the porch. Nonetheless, this property is poorly maintained and does not deserve to be rented. Regardless whether each unit on this property are owned by different owners, their management agreement should include that the management has the right to repair and remodel the units without the owners approval for it to be rented. Both Owners and management don’t have excuse in running a hotel / rental that is this badly maintained.
