We went for spring break and were looking for a place where the kids could swim and play. The pool area was great, and the kids said the water was warm. There were plenty of seating options in the pool room, including rocking chairs and swings.
However, the hotel staff was still cleaning and vacuuming rooms past 10:30 p.m., which made me feel bad—they must have been very short-staffed to be working that late.
The room itself was okay but showed its age as soon as we walked in. The bathroom had been nicely renovated, but our sliding barn door came off the hinge, they promptly it. The lighting in the room was poor, making it feel dark, and our microwave didn’t work.
The hotel’s amenities were nice. The restaurant and bar were surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night, and the live music was awesome—I was really impressed. The food, however, was just okay.
The front desk staff was polite but somewhat standoffish.
Overall it was a nice little stay.
