~5 minutes from downtown. Jeff is super accommodating, the home is in fantastic condition and the is surrounded by beautiful flower beds. Be sure and try out the hot tub.

Jeff was a wonderful host. Room was spacious and bed was super comfortable. Lots of space to spread out (lots of common area) and bonus was getting to do some laundry. The pets (Eddie the dog and Frankie the cat) were nice to cuddle with. Breakfast was delicious. Jeff had some good recommendations for stops along our travels. Only a few minutes from downtown Te Anau which we appreciated - too many tourists there. Good restaurants in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay with Jeff and Jan! The room was spotless, and Jeff and Jan were such thoughtful and welcoming hosts. They were extremely helpful in providing us recommendations on places to see, eat, and activities in the area. Their breakfasts were an absolute delight (and tasty!), even at our early wake up times. Eddie and Frankie were very warm hosts into their space and are some of the friendliest pets we have met. Overall we could not recommend staying at Alpine Rock highly enough, and would love to stay again if we are in the area!

Jan and Jeff are terrific hosts. We appreciate their wealth of knowledge of the local area as well as recommendations for other places we are visiting in NZ. Our room was comfortable and the king size bed a welcome delight after a long hike. Breakfast was delicious especially the coffee. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

The very best B&B in Te Anau

Staying at Jeff and Jan’s place was an exceptional and memorable experience.not only is their B&B comfortable and peaceful, it is one of the cleanest B&Bs I have ever experienced. This is a true B&B in the old fashioned sense of the word, with breakfast made for you each morning specially, and rooms and bathrooms cleaned daily. Evenings provide access to the inside and outside grounds, which are exceptionally manicured and relaxing. Our very highest recommendation for this exquisite place to stay!

Jan and Jeff were so hospitable and kind. We had 6am breakfast starts each day and Jeff cheerily got up to serve us. Hot tub was very welcome after two intense days of hiking and kayaking!

Very nice & quiet 2 bedroom B&B. The host and hostess were very friendly and accommodating. Jeff had a fire in the wood stove in the morning and evening to take off the fall chill. Hot tub outside, where we sat with a glass of wine watching the sheep graze in the neighboring pasture. Lovely location a few kilometers south of Te Anau.

Wonderful hosts and home

We stayed for two nights in the Rose Room with Jeff and Jan as our onsite hosts. Everything was as described in hotel website and positive reviews. Very comfortable bed and higher end amenities. The hot tub was sparkling clean and the breakfasts & morning conversations a delight. Their onsite kitty and small doggie were an added bonus. It is clear these hosts make hospitality and guest comfort their highest priority. We look forward to our return visit and highly recommend.

Jeff and Jan were hospitable hosts! We love the little morning chats during breakfasts and the serene surrounding. Room was spacious and very clean and the bathroom heater was efficient.
