Decepcionante.

La fachada del edificio promete ser un corta Fe pero luego las habitaciones son en un edificio anexo decepcionante, con materiales de construcción y vehículos abandonados. Déficit en la limpieza el colchón completamente blando.

Expensive for a room for one night, but that’s down to location. Room in main building had an odd smell of sewage in the bathroom. There was a basic continental breakfast no cooked breakfast. It’s ok for a stop over but has so much potential if there was investment to be one of the most desired places to stay & eat.

Toilet brush was full of Brown Particals, The Sink Was Blocked The small bed must have had an Elephant Sleep in it as the Mattress was all Springs And So uncomfortable The dirty Floor was more Appealing! We booked two rooms at quite a high price as the description Stated A Cooked English Breakfast. Well we never saw anything cooked We was offered “Help Yourself To A Box Of Cornflakes & A Slice Of Toast” I wood avoid this place at all cost!

From the moment we arrived there were issues.At reception we were told we had booked two rooms when in face we had booked only one . Then we were informed that they had no chef so they didnt have a functioning resturant !. This has been an issue for over a year apparently .This is dispite the hotel stating it has a resturant on the hotel.com website. The bedroom had zero aircon just a barely functioning fan.it was roasting hot so we got no sleep on either of our two nights.This combined with the fact the bathroom was really smelly made the experience horrible. On the second morning we went across for breakfast to be greeted by the waitress sitting on the doorstep.She informed us that no one had turned up to open the hotel so it was closed for breakfast.This meant we had to drive to a cafe and pay for breakfast that was surposed to be included with our room !!. This debarkle is all from what is allegedly a '4' star hotel. !! .This hotel is misrepresented on its own website and hotels.com as well and needs to be reclassified by its parent group right away. This was my birthday weekend and it was simply the worst hotel we have ever stayed in !.

Lovely accommodation. We stayed in a double room in a separate building from the pub. The pub/restaurant is lovely. Staff were welcoming and breakfast was cooked beautifully with good quality ingredients. The room was modern as was the shower room. Tea and coffee facilities included as were two bottles of water. We had an iron and ironing board in our room too.. The only things to point out which easily can be rectified are.....the windows are quite open and look out onto the car park area. I had to close the curtains everytime I changed which meant putting lights and stopped the air getting in (we stayed during the hot spell) Maybe voile curtains could be added for privacy but still let in air and light. Also there are hardly any plugs, only one spare double socket which was at the other end of the room with no table, so we had to plug phones in etc on the floor. Putting some by the bedside cabinets would rectify this problem. Otherwise a lovely stay near to the to Brize Nirton and Fairford air bases (the reason for our trip) also close to the Cotswolds. Would come again.

The Vines I believe has been recently taken over by new owners/management. They are still trying to find their feet, but are open and upfront about it from the moment you check in. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beer cold and crisp, the room clean and peaceful. I think once they get their rhythm the vines will only get better, though I did enjoy the feeling of it being like coming home to mum and dads which sometimes is a good thing and needed.

Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was cooked to order and quite delicious with cereals, juice, tea and coffee available to help yourself. Disappointments were car park surface was very potholed (no tarmac) and no food available on arrival but it was a Bank Holiday Sunday and had to pay again for the room as the hotel had not received my payment from Hotel.com. I would normally expect the hotel to sort that out directly but I got a quick refund from Hotel.com and compensated for the hassle. I would stay again whenever I am in that area.

Pub with rooms rather than a hotel. Restaurant menu was 3 pies 2 meat 1 veg served as it came no choice ( nice pie to be fair) not a restaurant! We didn’t have breakfast. Room was clean and functional but beds desperately needed new mattresses and shower was very temperamental. Carpark needs resurfacing potholes dreadful. Property has a good location in a quiet setting with friendly & welcoming staff.

Not great at all. I believe there was a change of ownership 3 weeks ago. Breakfast was poor. Asked for a vegetarian option and there was none. Room house keeping did not happen. Room was fairly clean but carpet was horrid overall. Overall not a great experience. A shame as the reviews seemed good.
