If you are a fisherman this place is for you. Outside outlets to charge your boat batteries and a fish cleaning house. Comfortable beds and hot breakfast. If you are looking for something fancy this place is not for you. This hotel could use a major remodel. I would definitely recommend and I will be back.

The room was clean and as usual the staff at this location is extremely nice. It's an older hotel that needs some work. Great breakfast and the perfect hotel if you are coming to Okeechobee to fish. Plenty of boat parking with outside outlets to charge your batteries and it has a screened in fish house.

Compared with other reviews we cannot agree with everything. Yes, it's an older property, and it is worn out here an there. But our room (two queen beds) was large, clean, and everything has worked. No bad smell and no noise. OK, the bath could need some TLC, but everything has worked and was clean. It is located conveniently. The pool is nice. The lookout over the hotel is great, especially for sunset. And the seating areas by the water can give you a relaxing time. The breakfast was on the short side, but usually everybody found something. It is a place for relaxing. But the price may be a little lower, based on the wear of the facility.

I had to rent 3 roomsfor my kids driving down for my fathers funeral. This was pretty much it as availability was due to the race in Sebring. My parents live in Lake Placid. Anyway, the cost seemed real good, but the rooms left a lot to be desired. They were dirty and smelled awful. The iron didnt work in one room and there was no ironing board. However staff did manage to rectify those issues. In another the blow dryer didnt work. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this "resort" to stay at.

No hot water, heater/ac did not work (it was in the 30's the night I stayed there, only one thin blanket on the bed, no extra blankets in closet area. I paid $163 for this room - I had been discharged from the hospital from injuries and needed a comfortable place to stay for the night. I was freezing! Great staff, very kind.
