My wife and I's second visit to Fourteen. Last year, 5 stars; this year, 4 stars.
The Good:
Our room had a spectacular view and was very clean.
The kitchen was great for breakfast and lunch.
Secure, easy parking.
Convenient access to the beach and pool.
The food market and several restaurants were nearby.
The Bad:
Our room had only two towels for a 10-day stay. No soap,one roll of toilet paper,one roll of paper towels.
The washing machine worked, but the dryer didn’t. We only needed it to dry our towels.
Customer service was poor. It was only available in Tower B. In Tower A, the two representatives seemed more interested in directing you to Tower B.
Tower B, customer service was unhelpful and seemed uninterested in assisting. Their main response was, "This is a condominium, not a hotel." There were no additional towels available, if we wanted our towels dried after washing, we had to walk them to Tower B to dry them.
Soap and paper supplies were only available in Tower B, it was clear that getting them from the two reps there was a major inconvenience for them.
Only one of the treadmills in the gym at Tower A was working.You could wait 30 to 60 minutes before it became available, then you felt guilty if you were using it while someone else was waiting.
Overall, everything and everyone felt much friendlier and more efficient last year. This visit left us disappointed with the lack of attention and customer service.
