The prices for lunch or dinner are very high if you are wanting to stay at the hotel.I would pay half the price they ask for the same meal in Canada. We did not find any public restaurants within walking distance on the beach, so no other options for meals. Your only option is to eat at the hotel restaurant or go into playa del carmen by taxi.

I come here for long solo vacation weekends. Great property. Amazing staff and the food is perfect. If you like to swim the water in front of the property is very rocky and not suitable for swimming but you can walk the shore and find better areas. La Petite Lafitte hit all of the right buttons for my wife and me. It was quiet when we waned it to be and appropriately festive with a great day bay and music at dinner. The staff are what make a place special, and from the greeters to the wait staff and maintenance crew, they were all top notch friendly and always looking to make our stay perfect.
