Entire property could use a bit of a facelift considering it’s in close proximity to Main Street and the Spanish Springs Town Square.
The young lady that checked me in was sweet and it was a breeze.
Walking into the room, you could smell the moisture and mildew. I lowered the ac since I figured maybe no one had occupied it recently. The following morning, I found the culprit of the mildew smell. The carpet by the ac was soaked with water, and you can tell it has been a problem for a while. Didn’t notice it the night before since I only walked on that side of the room with shoes on to turn down the ac.
The bathroom showed signs of age, too. Caulking peeling from perimeter of the tub, & tub never drained which is pretty frustrating when you’re trying to shower but are ankle deep in “soapy water”. Took almost 15 minutes for the water to drain afterwards.
I didn’t partake in the breakfast but the room was full with guests as I was checking out, so must be a popular feature.
I expressed my issues with the gentleman at the front while checking out and was just told that they would let someone know.
All in all, for the price, the length of my stay, & the location this served its purpose but will probably stay elsewhere next time I’m in town.
