I stayed 5 nights at the 1915 Beach Club in Daytona Beach, and while there were some positives, there were also a few issues that made the experience less than ideal.
The beds were clean and very comfortable, which was a plus, and the location is great for beach access and exploring the area. However, the rooms themselves are definitely in need of some updating. The furniture and fixtures felt a bit dated, especially in the kitchen and bathroom areas.
Before booking, I had read reviews mentioning roach sightings, so I called ahead to ask about it. Antonio was polite and reassured me that they had recently hired a pest control company and treated the rooms. That gave me some confidence in booking.
Unfortunately, I still encountered several baby roaches around the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and near the shower curtain during my stay. I decided not to make a big deal out of it since nearby hotels were fully booked and I didn't want the hassle of moving. However, on the fourth day, I returned from an outing to find a dead, adult-sized roach on the bathroom floor near the sink. That was pretty unsettling and really confirmed that the issue hasn’t been fully addressed.
I didn’t report it at the time simply because I didn’t want the extra stress during my trip, but it’s something the management definitely needs to stay on top of.
