Unfortunately for us, the hotel did not have a working elevator and we were on the top (3rd) floor - that put a bit of a damper on the stay.
That said ... staff was generally great, responsive and helpful. They got us taxi's as needed.
A trip into the city is about 12 EU for two, is about a 4 minute walk that is generally well lit (one street might be seen as sketchy). You are in a good overall neighborhood.
Room was a bit larger than other boutique hotels although we did have a higher rated room. The cost - relative to other locations - was not terrible. We enjoyed a very small balcony overlooking the Seine.
Bathroom: very handsome. The buffet for breakfast was quite excellent, with some cold meats, a fairly wide variety of cheeses/dairy, cappuccino, juices, baked goods. Chocolate croissant stood out, so did this odd little fruit and apples.
We were able to head into the city quickly, full and with a full container of ice water and get there very, very quickly via rail. Staff at the hotel recommended a taxi the first day and that was definitely a mistake. Took too long, too expensive.
A good stay; the only thing I can say is that the AC never really got cold in a US way. Then again heat in Paris on our stay was around 95 degrees.
