We paid over $1,000 CAD a night for a “king room” that was the size of a large walk-in closet.
The bathroom was its own special feature: toilet + shower only, placed right at the head of the bed behind glass doors. Because nothing says “romantic getaway” like getting ready for your night’s activities while everyone involved can hear every edit to your bathroom soundtrack. Also no room in there for dressing so you do that in the middle of the room.
And the “chair” in the room? Not a chair. It was a ski-lift chair, like the hotel thought comfort was something you did outdoors, not indoors. No dresser, no closet—just a bed and the world’s least friendly place to perch.
Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely not. It felt like a total rip-off—like they billed us for luxury, delivered a closet, and charged extra for the privilege of being mildly uncomfortable in a very public way.
