We liked the brilliant cathedral and historic St Nicholas market plus all the pubs and dockside area .Most of Bristol feels very safe but in the parks there are pockets of boistrous homeless people who are often stoned or drunk so best to avoid.

Bristol is an interesting city with lots of independent shops and restaurants. Great public transport network. Seems to have a bit of a problem with lots of rough sleepers and beggars. Council probably needs to do more to help such people.

I love Bristol - individual, arty, a unique town with interesting art in both galleries and street art and interesting family attractions. Many family run rather than chain restaurants and good quality and varied vegan options

Nice independent shops and a lovely central market. Some of it is a bit run down but it's an interesting city to visit. Almost all the museums are closed on Monday.

One thing we did with friends was Alcotraz! Great fun. 6 o'clock gin boat, and St Nicholas market (loads of street food options) are definitely places to go!

"Very nice hotel, spacious and very comfortable. We chose it for its proximity to the Hippodrome theatre but would happily visit again to spend more time exploring Bristol.
Added benefit was the Miller and Carter on site restaurant.

"Modern hotel with comfy beds next door to the airport. Food is good and there is a nice option to bag up continental items for early morning departures. "

"This is wonderful property very convenient to Bristol airport (so on the flight path, some flight noise in the morning). Beautiful building on a gorgeous property. Staff were friendly (well most of them) The room was nicely laid out, bed comfortable, great pillows & bedding. Breakfast was amazing! "
