My wife and I stayed at this property, but we will not return and cannot recommend it. The hotel was filthy and plagued by serious managerial issues. Our room had egregious hygiene problems: stains on the couches, black mold growing along the shower’s silicone lining, and grime on the windows that obscured the view. The rooms also carried unpleasant odors, and one pillow smelled distinctly of sweat.
When we reported these issues, the front desk failed to resolve them. We were offered other rooms, but they had the same problems. Eventually, we were relocated the next night, though the new room was only marginally better, with less mold but still dirty windows. The staff’s response was dismissive and rude. Despite photographic evidence of mold, they insisted it did not exist, insulted our intelligence, and refused to provide the staff member’s name until pressed repeatedly. Even then, we doubt the name given was genuine, as he wore no name tag.
We requested to leave and asked for a refund, but this was denied. The property’s location also raises concerns, being adjacent to a rakı lounge that attracts late-night disturbances, which is not typical of a reputable hotel environment. It is shocking that Marriott would attach its name to such a poorly maintained property with unprofessional staff. At minimum, guests who encounter such conditions should be offered refunds.
