Lack of personal touch
On arrival nobody on reception, but Hotel busy doing Sunday Lunch. When we found somebody we were shown to our room, which we were not keen on, as no window, just skylight. So we were shown 2 other rooms and chose room 3. Exceptionally clean. Asked about food for an evening meal, but nothing was made clear as to what we could get to eat or when, just told plenty of places to eat out and about. Nobody about next morning at breakfast had to search again for staff,definitely a lack of staff. No orange juice had to ask for some, this happened on 2 occasions. Breakfast ok. Key stopped working, found somebody to re set it,still did not work, so cleaner offered to get it sorted. Cleaners were exceptional. Very efficient and polite. After staying for 4 nights, we checked out, but nobody asked us at anytime about our stay. Nobody was interested, we requested a telephone number as we left, in case there was a problem with the car parking, as the gentleman that did it for us said, if we got a problem, when we got home to ring, but we were told to ring the number on the website, when I explained that we tried that to book the hotel and we had no option to speak with anybody, just book online. Only small niggles, but for the price of our stay, would have liked to have felt a bit like a valued Customer and had anybody asked us about our stay, we could have given them the chance to respond, instead of having to write this review.
