I did not know Best Western had motels, but apparently they do. You have to look closely at the pictures to see it. Although I looked through the pictures before booking, three times, I did not notice it was a motel. I've stayed in lots of motels, and now I prefer hotels so I can go use the elevator to help me with my often heavy load, and so I know I wont have to pass some dude hanging along the railing smoking a cigarette any time I go to or leave my room. They need to make it obvious on the website. I would NOT have chosen a motel. For a motel, this one is fine, but definitely overpriced for a motel.
The front desk clerks were very nice.
At night, the lobby wreaked of cigarette smoke.
The manager was a lazy turd. My key card failed to work, and though I had several heavy bags that I'd carried upstairs and were now sitting outside the door, and he right downstairs, he made me come down (leaving my bags outside the door, and passing the smoking bro again) to give him the cards, and he took his sweet little time strolling back to the lobby to give the cards to the front desk clerk to fix.
