We chose this hotel for its close proximity to Capitol Reef National Park—and in that regard, it certainly delivers. The property also makes a strong first impression online, with an eye-catching website and solid presence on platforms like Hotels.com.
Our room exceeded expectations: the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-appointed. No complaints there.
The hotel markets itself as a resort, and it does offer some unique touches that elevate the experience. While some of the more distinctive features—like the tepee and covered wagon accommodations—weren’t available during our spring visit, they look like they’d be a real highlight in the summer months.
Bottom line: if you’re after convenience and a resort-style stay near Capitol Reef, this is a solid choice. However, considering the rate we paid, it’s worth shopping around—unless those extra amenities and the resort vibe are exactly what you’re looking for.
