Good but room for improvement.
Staff was good. Location is good. Dog friendly. Firepit was neat, but it was always surrounded by smokers. Carpets and bathroom were dirty, the bed was worn out, and while I think the vibe they're going for is spot on for trendy Bend - it also feels like they're trying too hard. Go back to the basics and focus on cleanliness and comfort vs. being the cool kid in town. It's still a motel at the end of the day. Also, get rid of the ridiculous tattoo bus and find a food truck that can serve both coffee and food. This will give a few more parking spots back to your guests, so they can actually park near their rooms vs. on the street when the small lot is full. Not sure I would stay here again with all the options in Bend that charge the same room rate for a better experience. Not terrible, but a clean room and safe parking is what most folks are looking after these days.
